The Rose Bowl is not positioned on the ordinary downtown grid. Reaching it involves entering the Arroyo, following event or facility directions, and allowing time for the final approach. The mileage from Old Pasadena does not describe that descent.
The reservation should name the event or facility, ticket time, passenger count, mobility needs, credential, and authorized arrival area. The driver follows signs, police direction, venue personnel, and the parking instructions issued for that date. A familiar shortcut cannot be used when an event barrier closes it.
For departure, the car may remain within an assigned area until traffic is released. The client should understand that a message sent at the final whistle or applause does not instantly move a vehicle through controlled egress.
Games, concerts, ceremonies, festivals, and private functions can use different parking areas and pedestrian routes. A passenger entering through one location may leave through another after following the crowd. The initial release point should not automatically become the only pickup instruction.

Two nearby residences can reach Old Pasadena or the Rose Bowl through different local streets. The driver's plan should begin at the actual driveway, not the center of a neighborhood label.
